Do you offer commission work?
I’ve found my niche to be at the cross roads of my favorite interests- art and interior design. I collaborate with you on size, color, and inspiration for composition. In an ideal world, I get to visit you and yours in your home to experience the energy, and spend my painting time capturing the essence.
I rarely promise timelines. I won’t accept payment until it’s complete. My commission process is structured to allow for time and space to bring your story to life. It is not a traditional route, and I’ve found it to be incredibly special for all parties involved. In a culture of grind and gogogo- I have the time. In a culture surrounding choice- you can always choose to step away. What’s revealed in the paint and present is pretty remarkable, if you’re open to receiving it.
My commission list is full, but I don’t want to close the door on hearing your stories, connecting, and being inspired by your spaces. How OFTEN CAN I EXPECT NEW WORK?
I am constantly creating a variety of smaller and larger work. The smaller work guides me in solidifying ideas for the larger paintings. It also allows for practice in technique, color theory, and plein air painting. You’ll find offerings for new artwork- small framed original drawings, framed prints, or large canvas original paintings usually once a quarter. I typically create a few at a time, and notify via email when they’re available for purchase.
My next offering of work will be with Commerce Gallery (Lockhart, TX), debuting this September.
What mediums do you use?
I use acrylics for paintings, and charcoal for drawings. My large scale work is painted on linen or cotton canvas. My small paper work is drawn on what inspires me in the moment- most often, vintage or handmade paper.
